Morir Soñando

Morir Soñando means “to die dreaming” in Spanish. This is a classic drink in the Dominican Republic and refreshing as a creamsicle on a hot day. You just need equal parts of the orange juice and your chosen milk so you can increase the quantities to any level. You can also substitute cow’s milk for less sweetness, or nut/oat milk for a vegan alternative. They will taste slightly different but still have that creamsicle sweetness.

Ingredients

For 4 Batch(es)

Ingredients

2 oz or 1 cup orange juice
2 oz or 1 cup evaporated milk (or mix equal parts of simple syrup with a blend of half n’ half + milk or vegan nut/oat milk)
1 Plenty of ice
1 Orange slice, to garnish (optional)

Morir Soñando Directions

  •       Shake all the ingredients with ice.
  •       Strain over fresh ice in a chilled glass.
  •       Garnish with the orange slice

Recipe notes

Optional: If you add rum, it’s a classic rum Morir Soñando, but to keep it alcohol-free, try one of the new alcohol-free distilled spirits on the market like Lyre’s Alcohol-Free Rum, Ritual Rum Alternative or Arkay’s Alcohol-Free Rum.
