Light, refreshing and peachy keen. Don't worry that this will be too fragrant or sweet, this recipe takes traditional sangria and lightens the load with bubbles whether you choose club soda, cava or Prosecco!
3 tbsp sugar |
3 tbsp warm water |
3 shots appe liqueur or brandy |
1 sliced lime |
1 sliced lemon |
2 ripe peaches, cut into wedges (or use tinned peaches in juice, not syrup) |
1 bottle dry white e.g. white rioja, sauvignon blanc, albarino or sparkling, chilled |
Dissolve the sugar in 3 tbsp. of warm water and mix with the apple liqueur or brandy. Pour in the white wine or sparkling wine, stir lightly to distribute the brandy. Add the fruit and chill before serving.
